The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR) is one of the most important protected areas in the Arabian Peninsula. The DDCR was established in 2002 as the country’s first national park.  The mission was to preserve the natural desert ecosystem and its rich biodiversity. How To Get There?

• By Car: To go to DDRC by car, you have to take Al Ain Road.
• By Taxi: You can get to DDRC by taxi. It may cost 150–200 AED.
• Guided Tour: It’s highly recommended that you take a guided tour of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. These tours offer round-trip transportation from your hotel.

Tips For Visitors

• Access is only permitted through authorized tour operators—make reservations beforehand.
• You cannot enter the DDCR on your own—tours must be booked through approved operators.
• The area is protected; only authorized vehicles are allowed.
• Drones are generally prohibited unless you have special permits.
• Activities are designed to protect both visitors and the delicate environment. So, follow the guide instructions.
• Stay in a group. Do not wander alone. The area is vast. So, you may get lost.
• Avoid littering to keep the reserve clean.
• The desert sun is always intense. So, don’t forget to wear sunglasses, Hats, & Sunscreen.
