Hatta Dam

Hatta Water Dam is 90 minutes away from Dubai. It’s a beautiful dam amidst the rugged Hajar Mountains. The dam was built in the 1990s to supply water to the surrounding town of Hatta. Besides serving its primary purpose, the dam has become an eco-tourism destination. The dam offers stunning scenery, including clean turquoise waters and mountains. The dam is fabulous for kayaking and boating. Kids love visiting this dam. They become delighted to see ducks swimming in the water.

Tips For Visitors

• If you go there in summer, go early in the morning.
• Explore the nearby attractions like Hatta Heritage Village or Hatta Wadi Hub.
• There is no restroom. So, keep that in mind.
• Wear breathable, modest clothing and sturdy shoes.
• There are limited dining options near the dam. So bring your food and water.
