Mercato Beach

Mercato Beach is also known as Jumeirah 1 Beach. It is situated directly across from the Italian-inspired Mercato Shopping Mall. This beach maintains a minimalistic charm. You can see the legendary Burj Khalifa from there. The atmosphere is very peaceful and welcoming. People go to Mercato Beach to sunbathe. The beach is also good for swimming with family and children, or just a beachside walk.

• Mercato Beach is different from the commercial beaches of Dubai. The beach remains open 24 hours a day. Visitors can access there for free. You may miss the many facilities that you’ll usually enjoy at other beaches in Dubai. However, the tranquillity and peace that you’ll get will be priceless. 
• All basic facilities are present there, including showers, restrooms, and changing facilities. Lifeguards are very active there and always careful about safety.
• It’s near the  Mercato Mall, which offers a variety of dining options, from casual cafes to international restaurants. The beach is also close to Jumeirah Fishing Harbour and La Mer Beach. 
• All these nearby attractions and facilities make it a convenient spot for a day of exploration and relaxation.

Best Time To Visit

Morning or late afternoon is best to avoid peak sun intensity. Weekdays are quieter, while weekends are likely to be more crowded with families and tourists. Sunset hours offer stunning views and cooler weather, which is perfect for a beach picnic or jog.

How To Get There

• By Metro: You can go to Mercato Beach by metro. The nearest metro station is Business Bay Station. You can also go to Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa Station and take a taxi to the beach.
• By Bus: You can ride a bus to go to Mercato Beach. Route 8 stops along Jumeirah Beach Road near Mercato Mall.
• By Taxi or Ride-Sharing: You can go to Mercato Shopping Mall by taxi.
• By Car: You can go to Mercato Beach by car. There is limited parking near the beach. Additional parking is available at Mercato Mall.

Tips For Visitors

• Bring Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat. 
• Natural shades may not be sufficient. Bring an umbrella.
• Bring sufficient water.
• This is a public beach. So, wear modest swimsuits.
