Al Qudra Lake

Al Qadra Lake is a beautiful lake 30 minutes outside Dubai. People love camping in Al Qadra Lake. It is regarded as a great picnic spot. If you are a birdwatcher, this charming lake has a lot to offer you. The incredible wildlife of this lake includes flamingoes, wallabies and black geese. You’ll also get to see Hedgehogs, Oryx, Vultures and many more. A gentle breeze flowing across the lake makes it a perfect place to relax. It’s an excellent escape into nature's tranquillity from the hectic city life.

• Do birds and mammals enthusiast you? If yes,  you must visit Al Qadra Lake. There are 3 bird-watching towers. All towers are different. There you’ll get to see over 170 species of birds. Many endangered species of birds are there.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Al Qudra Lake is during the cooler months from October to April. If you go there in the morning, you’ll be able to enjoy less crowd and peaceful atmosphere. Late afternoon to sunset is the golden hour that provides stunning views and great photo opportunities as the sun sets over the dunes and reflects on the lake.

How To Get To Al Qadra Lake?

• By Car: You can go to Al Qadra Lake from central Dubai. You can also go via Dubai-Al Ain Road or Via Emirates Road.

• By Bus: There is no direct bus service to Al Qudra Lake.  Routes 67 and 68 can take you to nearby areas such as Seh As Salam Farm. From these stops, you'll need to arrange a taxi or rideshare to reach the lake.

• By Taxi And Rideshare: You can go to Al Qudra Beach by using taxis and rideshare services like Uber or Careem. 

Tips For Visitors

• There is no toilet. People pee here and there. So be careful when you sit anywhere.
• The place is not clean. You’ll see trash bags lying around.
• Dogs are not allowed.
• Be very careful when you drive in the lake area so that you do not accidentally kill any little bird flying close to the moving car.
