Al Qurum Beach is a golden sandy beach in Muscat, Oman. The beach is 4KM long. It’s a tranquil escape within the city. This is one of the busiest beaches in Muscat. The beachside is full of palm trees. There are many shopping centres and restaurants near the beach. Throughout the year, the beach hosts various events.

• By Car: You can go to Al Qurum Beach by car. It takes around 20 minutes to arrive  Al Qurum Beach from Muscat International Airport.  You have to take Sultan Qaboos Street towards the city centre.
• By Bus: There is no direct bus service to the beach. However, the nearest bus stop is approximately a 39-minute walk away.
• By Taxi and Ride Sharing Apps: You can go to the beach by taxi as they are readily available in Oman.
You can also ride-sharing apps like Careem and Otaxi. 
• By Cruise Ships: You can go to Muscat Cruise Port by cruise ship. From the port, you can go to Al Qurum Beach by taxi or open tour buses available at the port.

The Best Time To Visit Al Qurum Beach

The Best Time To Visit Al Qurum Beach is early morning or late afternoon (especially just before sunset) for cooler weather and beautiful light. It is ideal to visit the beach anytime from October to April.

Tips For Visitors

• Summer can be very hot and humid in Muscat. Keep this in mind when planning a visit to Al Qurum Beach.
• No matter when you go, always bring sunscreen and a hat.
• There are cafes nearby. Still, it is wise to bring your refreshments with you.
• There are not sufficient beach towels, mats & umbrellas. So, it’s important to bring these things.
• Both men and women are expected to wear modest clothes. Western swimwear is not suitable there.
