Al Bateen Beach

Al Bateen Beach is a public beach located in Abu Dhabi. This 800-meter-wide beach is known for its clean and tranquil water. It's a perfect place for fishing and swimming. How to get there?

By Car

• If you're driving from downtown Abu Dhabi, take Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (E10) or Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street (E20) towards Khalifa Al Mubarak Street.

By Taxi

• You can easily book a taxi through the Abu Dhabi Taxi App or hail one from anywhere in the city. Just tell the driver "Al Bateen Beach, Khalifa Al Mubarak Street", and they’ll take you directly there.

By Public Transport

• Bus Routes: Take Bus 32 or Bus 34, which have stops near Al Bateen Beach.
• From the nearest stop, it's a short walk to the beach.
• You can check real-time bus schedules using the Darbi app or the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport website.

Tips for visitors

• Avoid summer (June to September). Temperatures can exceed 40°C. That is too hot for a comfortable visit.

• Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and plenty of water to stay hydrated under the sun.

• Try kayaking, paddleboarding, or swimming in the designated areas for a fun experience.

• This beach is near Hudayriat Island and Qasr Al Watan. Consider visiting these places for more sightseeing.
